We're no different to any other person on earth, with a domestic to-do list that stretches to infinity (and beyond!). Should you ever feel that there are certain jobs that you're just never going to get round to - kindly give us a shout.

I can't swear blindly that I can tackle all and sundry, but if I can do the job: it will always be done to the very best of my abilities. In the event that I can't, I will graciously advise you so beforehand; and hopefully hand over to someone else or a company more adept or specialised in that field. My foremost consideration is to successfully solve your property maintenance woes, not worsen them.

Moving along: I would like to imagine this to be a rather common I'm-going-to-get-round-to-it-someday job, so I thought I'd share a few examples of garage doors that I have refurbished. Based on your personal circumstances, it may be a case of needing a new garage door completely (something I do not supply or fit); or salvaging your current door and getting it to pristine condition again. That: I Can Do!

Garage Doors

The front of this particular garage ended up looking like this purely down to time and weather. The bottom half of the paint on the door was at fall-off point, and the timber surround had either spots of severe rot, or total rot. The overhead lengths needed complete replacement, while the frame required very rotten spots either cut away or drilled out.

Then, after stripping and sanding away several layers of old paint, filling all holes in on remaining wood and a few layers of fresh paint. Good as new!

This is my own garage door, and I inherited it's condition when I moved into the property. With my background in signmaking and vehicle wrapping, I opted to give this door a new skin of medium range outdoor red vinyl.

So, I stripped the door down to bare metal, after I dropped it off its mounts (just to make life easier) ... and got busy!

As can be seen by enlarging the BEFORE image, that door had layers and layers of old paint to strip away first.

This is a Mid-Process shot

BEFORE

I took a look at this door and decided it could be saved and revived. We could have gone for a new one, but sometimes things just need a little TLC to get them back to what they once were.

And after a lot of paint stripper and sanding, I gave it a fresh vinyl finish.

The dark blemishes on the finished surface is just decayed vegetable matter as I had the door open for much of one summer to work on the inside of the garage.

Repairs And Decorating

Next up are household domestic repairs. In this instance, a bedroom that needed a bit of plaster where a hand basin had been, a new light fitting, some electrics moving and a new lick of paint to round it all off. Newly built-in shelves, wardrobes and desk (built by another contractor) also needed painting.

The bedroom of a young school child that needed quite a few bits sorting out. Apologies for the BEFORE image quality as I had a terrible camera phone at the time.

The Garden

Flowerbeds

Lets begin with a classic example in the garden that so many may have already faced: The overgrown flowerbed. You only turned your back for a second ... and suddenly there it was! It can happen to anyone. But, all is not lost - no matter the circumstances (hope we won't regret saying that!)- and we can win the ground back.

BEFORE

So, the first thing we needed to do was define the flowerbed edge. Then dig out literally every last bit of vegetation by the root, that was no longer wanted in the flowerbed.

And there you have it. A newly turned over bed just waiting for its owner to start afresh. With all old root systems removed to give new plants the room they need to flourish.

Hedge Trimming

Moving along to a subject some take great pride in - and others may not be too happy to tackle: The hedge. Be it a lack of time or the trepidation of heights and power tools - simply set up a "hedge fund"; and give us a shout. We'll come and sort it all out!

They need a little TLC too. Trimmed, pruned and shaped to your requirements.

BIG HEDGES

Also happy to tackle the larger hedges as well. Here are a few images of After and Before trimming; of the hedge further down the garden.

Patio Clearing

There are many areas on many properties that have been neglected or simply forgotten about over time. Areas that may have been designed and developed for relaxation or as a feature in the garden, that have now become overgrown or fallen into disuse due to a lack of time or ability in maintaining these once beauty spots. These are areas that we love to get our hands dirty in.

Turfing

In the event that a lawn has become a haven for weeds and moss, the better option may be to start over. Or if it is just a patch of bare ground, fresh turf may just be the ticket to improving your garden. But do keep in mind that a lawn does require a good deal of attention and neglect could take you back to square one in a short space of time. So, we would be more than happy to help lay it and maintain it for you.

Here, weeds had completely taken hold and the surface had a slope. Once the old turf was cleared away, along with some unearthed rubble - we put this spot right!

AFTER

As smooth as laying a new carpet. New turf in place after shifting a great deal of soil from the top end to the bottom end of the garden. And removing as much rock beneath as possible. We would be happy to appraise your circumstances and advise accordingly; in a bid toward delivering the best turfing service we possibly can.
