Should your DIY ever need to become WDIFY (We Do It For You)
We're no different to any other person on earth, with a domestic to-do list that stretches to infinity (and beyond!). Should you ever feel that there are certain jobs that you're just never going to get round to - kindly give us a shout.
I can't swear blindly that I can tackle all and sundry, but if I can do the job: it will always be done to the very best of my abilities. In the event that I can't, I will graciously advise you so beforehand; and hopefully hand over to someone else or a company more adept or specialised in that field. My foremost consideration is to successfully solve your property maintenance woes, not worsen them.
Moving along: I would like to imagine this to be a rather common I'm-going-to-get-round-to-it-someday job, so I thought I'd share a few examples of garage doors that I have refurbished. Based on your personal circumstances, it may be a case of needing a new garage door completely (something I do not supply or fit); or salvaging your current door and getting it to pristine condition again. That: I Can Do!
Garage Doors
The front of this particular garage ended up looking like this purely down to time and weather. The bottom half of the paint on the door was at fall-off point, and the timber surround had either spots of severe rot, or total rot. The overhead lengths needed complete replacement, while the frame required very rotten spots either cut away or drilled out.
Then, after stripping and sanding away several layers of old paint, filling all holes in on remaining wood and a few layers of fresh paint. Good as new!
This is my own garage door, and I inherited it's condition when I moved into the property. With my background in signmaking and vehicle wrapping, I opted to give this door a new skin of medium range outdoor red vinyl.
So, I stripped the door down to bare metal, after I dropped it off its mounts (just to make life easier) ... and got busy!
As can be seen by enlarging the BEFORE image, that door had layers and layers of old paint to strip away first.

Pressure Washing
I think the accompanying image shows the benefit of pressure washing paving slabs best. What was and what it should be.
And it does not take long for even the most recently layed pavers to accumulate grime and dirt; which usually leaves them looking like they've been around for a 100 years already.
But, modern technology, equipment and (sometimes) elbow grease can bring back that original beauty within a day of effort. Then, it's just a case of staying on top of it!
Turfing
In the event that a lawn has become a haven for weeds and moss, the better option may be to start over. Or if it is just a patch of bare ground, fresh turf may just be the ticket to improving your garden. But do keep in mind that a lawn does require a good deal of attention and neglect could take you back to square one in a short space of time. So, we would be more than happy to help lay it and maintain it for you.
